Constantinos "Costas" Lyrintzis, a 36-year-old associate professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics at San Diego State University (SDSU), tragically lost his life on August 15, 1996. He was one of three professors murdered during a shocking incident at the university. The perpetrator, Frederick Martin Davidson, was an engineering student who had been at SDSU for nine years.
