Tadesse Mekrai, a 21-year-old resident of San Diego, California, tragically lost his life on March 19, 2020, due to a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the Otay Mesa West area, where Mekrai was found unresponsive in a car at the intersection of Palm Avenue and Twining Avenue. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, Mekrai succumbed to his injuries, which included a fatal gunshot wound to his torso.
