On September 6, 1989, Special Agent Keith Connelly of the U.S. Border Patrol was tragically killed in Fresno, California. Connelly was engaged in an undercover operation targeting alien smugglers. The operation took a deadly turn at approximately 1:45 a.m. when Connelly and his partner, Ted Jordan, were ambushed by the suspects.
