On a tragic Mother's Day morning, May 8, 2016, the life of Antonio Lavell Buckson, a 38-year-old African-American male, was cut short by violence in Baltimore, Maryland. In the early hours, as he was getting into his car in the 600 block of North Decker Street after visiting someone in East Baltimore, an unknown assailant shot him multiple times. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. His death, occurring on a day meant for celebrating family, brought immense heartbreak to his loved ones.
