In the spring of 2016, the life of Shelby Leroy Jr. Miller, a 29-year-old Black or African American man, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in the 200 block of North Bond Street, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, and when the chaos subsided, Miller was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
