Izell Williams, a 37-year-old resident of Pompano Beach, Florida, tragically lost his life on February 6, 2021, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 11:43 p.m. in the 2200 block of Northwest 4th Street. According to reports, multiple unidentified suspects fired several shots from a dark blue sedan, striking Williams and another man. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Williams to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced dead.
The second victim, whose identity has been withheld, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Broward Health North by a neighbor before deputies arrived.
The Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) homicide detectives launched an investigation into the shooting. Despite their efforts, the suspects involved in the incident remain unidentified. The BSO has been actively seeking information from the public to aid in solving the case. Broward Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $3,000 for any information leading to an arrest in connection with Williams' murder.
As of now, there have been no arrests or significant breakthroughs in the case. The investigation is ongoing, with detectives continuing to gather evidence and follow leads.
