Jeankys JP Pierre Jr., an 18-year-old resident of Belle Glade, Florida, tragically lost his life on June 8, 2020. The incident occurred in the 100 block of State Road 715, where Pierre was fatally shot. The confrontation that led to his death began when Pierre confronted Jamar La’tavious Quintarrious Peete, then 19, about accusations that Peete had repeatedly hit a 14-year-old girl. Witnesses reported that Pierre arrived at a friend's mobile home and found the young girl crying.
Upon learning about the alleged abuse, Pierre confronted Peete, who was inside the home gathering his belongings. The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, during which Peete drew a gun and fired multiple shots, fatally wounding Pierre.
Following the shooting, Pierre managed to run to a nearby friend's home, where he collapsed and later died from his injuries at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into the incident, and within a week, authorities arrested Peete on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault. Peete was accused of not only shooting Pierre but also pointing a gun at another individual during his attempt to flee the scene.
