Everett Davon Thompson, a 38-year-old African American male, was found dead on December 23, 2018, in a rented pickup truck in rural St. Johns County, near Saint Augustine, Florida. Thompson, who was also known as "Rabbit," was a resident of Jacksonville and the president and CEO of Fastidious Auto Sales. On the day of his death, Thompson had traveled to St. Augustine to meet with Vermount James Anderson, a 37-year-old man who owed him several thousand dollars.
