Vontay Eugene Silas, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on November 11, 2017, in Leesburg, Florida. The incident occurred around 12:17 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and East Street. Upon arrival, Leesburg Police Department officers found Silas lying unresponsive in the middle of the intersection.
