Charles Ray Durden, a 27-year-old African American male from St. Augustine, Florida, tragically lost his life on November 16, 2016. His remains, along with those of his friend, 26-year-old Staffon Larry, were discovered inside a burned SUV at the intersection of Spring Street and Fred Waters Way in St. Augustine. The vehicle had been set on fire after both men were shot to death, with investigators determining that they were executed with shots to the back of their heads.
