The incident occurred at the Playhouse Gentlemen's Club in West Park, where Clark had been involved in an altercation with a group of patrons. The confrontation escalated, leading to a fatal shooting in the club's parking lot. According to reports, Clark was shot multiple times by Roy Stewart and Burton Harjo.
