Jamar Gammage, a 26-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on August 22, 2015, in Delray Beach, Florida. The incident occurred outside the Community Market on the 1100 block of West Atlantic Avenue. The altercation that led to his death was reportedly over a woman, involving his childhood friend, Dion Graham. Graham, who was 31 years old at the time, shot Gammage during an argument, claiming he believed Gammage had a gun and was going to shoot his brother.

incident, Dion Graham was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. During the trial, Graham pleaded not guilty, asserting that he acted in self-defense. However, the jury found him guilty of the charges in September 2017. Consequently, Graham was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Jamar Gammage.
