On December 24, 2022, Zayveion Aimir Walton, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred on 29th Street near the North Recreation Center and 29th Street Gym. The Columbus Police Department responded to the scene around 9 a.m., where they found Walton with multiple gunshot wounds.
