On the evening of May 28, 2022, Wyman McLorin Boyd Jr., a 27-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident took place at approximately 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Camp Creek Marketplace on Carmia Drive. Boyd had just left a barbershop in the shopping center where witnesses say he had been in good spirits, laughing and joking with friends moments before the shooting.
