In the fall of 2020, the life of 17-year-old Jonah Poole, a Black male from Smyrna, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On November 5, 2020, Poole was fatally shot in the chest at the Wellington Point apartments on Maner Terrace in the Smyrna area. He was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but ultimately did not survive his injuries.
