In the late afternoon of a September day in Macon, Georgia, a life was cut short in a burst of violence. Joseph Lee Grayer, a 30-year-old male, was at a residence in the 4500 block of Ayers Road when an altercation broke out. The dispute tragically escalated, and Grayer was shot in the upper chest.
