In the early evening of March 25, 2020, La’Terry Donta Kendrick, a 24-year-old male, was standing in the parking lot of a convenience store on Houston Avenue in Macon, Georgia. It was around 6:00 p.m. when the sound of gunfire shattered the ordinary atmosphere of the busy street. Kendrick was struck by a bullet in a sudden act of violence. Those present at the scene quickly took him to a nearby hospital in an attempt to save his life. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 6:44 p.m.
