Malenko Cooley, an 18-year-old African American male, was found dead on January 20, 2019, in Newnan, Georgia. Cooley had been reported missing from Valley, Alabama, on January 19, 2019. His body was discovered in the back seat of a vehicle parked near a Walmart in LaGrange, Georgia. Cooley had died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The investigation revealed that Cooley and his friend, Marquavious Harris, 19, had gone to the Newnan Crossing Apartments to ask a resident to keep a gun for them. T
