In the early hours of a Monday morning in Newnan, Georgia, a dispute between two men escalated to a fatal conclusion. Luke Oliveira, a 22-year-old male, was found with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a Hooters on Bullsboro Drive just after midnight on March 4, 2024. He was transported to an Atlanta-area hospital where he died from his injuries shortly after 6 a.m. This was the first homicide of the year in the city of Newnan.
