Robert James Moon, a 49-year-old Caucasian male from Cairo, Georgia, tragically lost his life on May 26, 2017. The incident occurred during a dispute that escalated into a fatal shooting. Moon was shot in the chest by Nicolas Lopez, a 53-year-old man, at 565 Bond Road in Cairo. The Grady County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at 8:43 p.m. and found Moon in the yard with a gunshot wound and excessive bleeding. Despite efforts to save him, Moon passed away shortly after the shooting.
