In the winter of 2017, the life of a young African American man, Fila Demetrius Climons, was tragically cut short in Thomson, Georgia. On January 10th, the 22-year-old was pronounced dead at University McDuffie Hospital. Following the initial examination, his body was transferred to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for a more thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death.
