In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Statesboro, Georgia, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the Campus Crossings Apartments on Lanier Drive. Responding to the reports of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. on October 19, 2016, Statesboro police officers discovered a young man suffering from a gunshot wound.
