In the early morning hours of September 17, 2015, the city of Waycross, Georgia, was rocked by a brutal act of violence that claimed the lives of two people. Alonzo Jeffery Brown, a 41-year-old male, and his live-in girlfriend, 31-year-old Yolanda Yvette Faison, were shot and killed in what authorities described as a home invasion.
