In the late hours of a Tuesday night in downtown Atlanta, the life of Deonte Monaquel Rogers, a 26-year-old male, was cut short by gunfire. On September 23, 2014, in the vicinity of Piedmont and Auburn avenues, Rogers was shot at least twice. Despite being only a few blocks from a hospital, the injuries he sustained proved to be fatal.
