In the fall of 2021, a loving father's life was tragically cut short in New Orleans. On September 26, 2021, 33-year-old Jamal Edward Sears, an African American man, was discovered inside a vehicle in the 6800 block of East Coronet Court, suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics were called to the scene, but sadly, they pronounced him dead. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed that the cause of death was indeed a gunshot wound.
