On the afternoon of July 3, 2020, a shooting incident in the West Lake Forest neighborhood of New Orleans East resulted in the death of 41-year-old Brian Hayes. The male victim was discovered around 3:30 p.m. in the 8400 block of the I-10 Service Road, having sustained at least one gunshot wound.
