In the autumn of 2019, the life of 30-year-old Cartez Woods, an African American male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of Wednesday, November 6th, Woods was in the parking lot of the Rite Way Liquor Store located in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he was fatally shot.
