On January 3, 2019, Frederick Richardson, a 48-year-old male from Baton Rouge, was fatally shot at a hotel on the Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette, Louisiana. The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m., when police were dispatched to the hotel in response to reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Richardson with at least one gunshot wound.
