In the late hours of a Tuesday in Crowley, Louisiana, a dispute at the Kathy Meadows Apartments ended in tragedy. On December 18, 2018, James Francis, a 66-year-old male, was found behind the apartment complex around 11 p.m. He had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner's Office. Authorities believed the shooting stemmed from an argument or some other form of disturbance that occurred just prior to the discovery of his body.
