In the early afternoon of January 5, 2019, Shreveport Police were dispatched to a residence on Lakeshore Drive following reports of a man discovered inside with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 36-year-old Jimmy Ray Grant Jr. He was quickly transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
