On March 28, 2012, Denard "Dedo" Alexander, a 31-year-old African-American male, was found deceased in the stairwell of the Palmetto Apartments in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon responding to a call about a man being shot, police arrived at the scene around 5:25 AM and discovered Denard with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Denard was remembered by family and friends as a wonderful person with a beautiful smile, personality, and sense of humor
