In the afternoon of December 30, 2015, a dispute on a West Philadelphia street escalated into a fatal encounter for Seth Fassett. The 57-year-old White/Caucasian man was shot and killed in the 1200 block of North Redfield Street. Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:13 p.m. and discovered Fassett lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
