In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 6, 2016, 23-year-old Monrico C. Fletcher was found mortally wounded in Kansas City, Missouri. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the 3400 block of South Benton Street around 2:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered the male victim suffering from gunshot injuries.
