Devonn Dozell Mayhew, a 21-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Copperas Cove, Texas, tragically passed away on July 23, 2020. The incident occurred around 11:13 PM when Copperas Cove Police Officers responded to reports of shots being fired at the intersection of S. 7th Street and W. Avenue E. Upon arrival, they found Devonn, a gunshot victim, in the roadway who did not show any signs of life. The Copperas Cove Fire Department EMS confirmed Devonn was deceased at the scene.
