Tristan Maddux, an 18-year-old male from Kingwood, Texas, was tragically found shot to death in a drainage ditch in Porter, Texas, on March 3, 2019. Maddux had been reported missing the day before his body was discovered. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of three suspects: Isaiah Parker, 18, Jorge Ramirez, 17, and a juvenile. Parker was arrested in The Colony, Texas, and was awaiting extradition to Montgomery County.
Ramirez was arrested on an aggravated robbery charge and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. The juvenile was also charged with murder.
The investigation revealed that Maddux had been shot multiple times and then left in the ditch. Parker, who pleaded guilty to murder and tampering with evidence, was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Ramirez and another accomplice, Lamar Deon Laster, were convicted of aggravated robbery and received sentences of 40 years and 25 years, respectively.
The case was resolved with the convictions and sentencing of the three individuals involved in Maddux's death. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers played key roles in the investigation and arrests.
