On July 19, 2016, Emilio "Milo" Flores, a 15-year-old Hispanic male, tragically died in his father's arms after being shot at his home in Alvin, Texas. The incident occurred during a sleepover with friends. According to police reports, Emilio was shot once in the chest by Logan Anderson, an 18-year-old acquaintance, who claimed the shooting was accidental. Anderson fled the scene but was later apprehended and charged with manslaughter.
