On the evening of April 5, 2026, Kenneth W. Mims, a 42-year-old man from Dallas, was fatally shot at Breezy Hill Park in Terrell, Texas. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of New Hope Street at approximately 9:48 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
