In the early morning hours of August 29, 2026, the life of 20-year-old Cassius Maier Montgomery was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. Montgomery, a Black male born on May 3, 2006, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2500 block of West Fayette Street in the Shipley Hill neighborhood. The call reporting the shooting came in at approximately 2:38 a.m., and despite the efforts of medical personnel who arrived at the scene, Montgomery was pronounced dead.
