In the early morning hours of July 13, 2025, the life of 56-year-old Randolph Smith, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Southwest Baltimore. Responding to the sound of gunfire around 1:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Frederick Avenue, police officers discovered Smith with gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
