In the late hours of July 3, 2022, a domestic altercation in the parking lot of a Church's Chicken on 3rd Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama, turned fatal for 25-year-old Darneshia Mosley, a Black/African American female. During the dispute, which occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m., Mosley sustained gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to UAB Hospital for medical attention.
