In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 11, 2023, tragedy struck a Birmingham man, James Lee Brown Jr., a 53-year-old male, whose life was cut short in a sudden and senseless act. Brown had been experiencing car trouble and was waiting for a friend to arrive with assistance on the 100 block of Roebuck Drive. As he stood outside his disabled vehicle, another vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
