In the late morning of May 25, 2023, the life of 23-year-old Deunte Jurrell Winston was cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a call at approximately 9:35 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers discovered Winston unresponsive on a porch in the 4300 block of 44th Avenue North in the Inglenook community. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel transported him to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
