In the early evening of September 1, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and McVay Drive North in Mobile, Alabama. When the sounds of the drive-by shooting faded, 35-year-old Quintez Pryear, a Black male, was found inside a vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. First responders arrived at the scene around 8:00 p.m. and pronounced him deceased.
