In the early morning hours of Saturday, April 25, 2020, the body of 39-year-old Joseph Carter, a Black male, was discovered in the backyard of a residence in the 2600 block of Wealthy Street in Mobile, Alabama. Responding to a 'person down' call at approximately 6:45 a.m., Mobile Police found Carter deceased, having sustained blunt force trauma to his body.
