In the early hours of April 12, 2017, the quiet of a Montgomery, Alabama neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the 3300 block of Fountain Lane at approximately 12:14 a.m., they discovered 19-year-old Chandler Blue suffering from gunshot wounds. The young Black male was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, but his injuries proved to be too severe. Chandler Blue succumbed to his wounds the following day, turning a shooting investigation into a homicide case.
