Jose Duran-Lopez, a 28-year-old Hispanic/Latino male, was killed in Wilmington, Delaware, in the early hours of August 31, 2024. The night unfolded near the city’s Riverfront, an area normally associated with restaurants, offices, and late-night activity. Just after 1:45 a.m., Wilmington police were called to the 100 block of South West Street, near the Barclays building and a Riverfront restaurant, after reports of a shooting.
