On April 19, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at the Tiger Bay Apartments located in the area of 400 SE 24th Dr. in Gainesville, Florida. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Wilber Perez, was shot and killed around 11:40 a.m.

The incident is currently under active investigation by the Gainesville Police Department. According to a spokesperson, detectives are following leads in connection with the shooting. The police are seeking any information that might aid in the investigation and h ...
