Caleb Joseph Fries, a 17-year-old resident of Gainesville, Florida, lost his life to gun violence on February 19, 2024. He was born on June 4, 2006, in Titusville, Florida, to Joseph and Leslie Nicole Fries, and was their only son and second-born child.

The incident occurred at the Pointe 23 Apartments in Gainesville. Following the shooting, an investigation was conducted, leading to the identification and charging of several suspects.
