John Anthony Lowden Jr., a 38-year-old male, found his life tragically cut short on February 28, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. In the early morning hours, at approximately 2:24 a.m., the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired in the 2800 block of Washington Road. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Lowden in the eastbound right lane, having sustained a gunshot wound. The county coroner pronounced him dead at the scene a little after 3:00 a.m.
