On a Monday afternoon, the 18th of December, 2023, the life of 22-year-old Aaron Sonny Pierce of Dublin, Georgia, was tragically cut short in Swainsboro. The young Black / African American man, known affectionately as 'Lil' Aaron,' was fatally shot on North Racetrack Street in an incident that unfolded at approximately 3:15 p.m. Following the sound of gunfire, Pierce was privately transported to Emanuel Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.
